Ralph Knight - Bulk Materials Handling Specialist

Ralph is a mechanical engineer with over 40 years’ experience in the heavy and process industries. He has extensive expertise in bulk materials handling, including bulk storage, extraction and metering of materials, pneumatic pipelines and mechanical and hydraulic conveying. He is a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers’ Bulk Materials Handling section and on their organising committee for the last 20 years. His track record includes major corporate projects and consultancy work worldwide, for the cement, quarrying, and other heavy process industries, including supporting rail and port infrastructure projects.

Recent projects have included several large bulk storage and rail loading/unloading facilities for various bulk materials including limestone, clay, shale, slate, coal, clinker, gypsum, Portland cements, fly ash & kiln dusts.
